Some of the splotchy ones were an attempt to capture leftover palette paint. I’m not sure what I’ll do with them, if anything. Any ideas? Perhaps a greeting card, quote block, bookmark, etc.

Plein Air Attempts

So far I haven’t had much opportunity to get into plein air - the setup is hard and I usually have little kids around competing for my attention so these have been small and quick, mostly abstract. Someday I’ll try some more. At the moment I prefer my “studio” where everything is in its place, I don’t have to carry anything around, and it’s relatively quiet and free from distractions.

Technically the Blue House wasn’t plein air - I painted it from a picture on location instead of setting up in the street.
