new addition to list of things to paint: sea anemone

Love all of these flowers! I love the contrasts and blends on the peonies and the part where the green meets the pink. What colors did you use for the peonies and the anemone?

Thanks!

Eek. Great question, and I'm not sure now...

Peonies - the main color was Permanent Rose, combined with something to mute it. Possibly a small amount of one of the following: Quinacridone Violet, Ultramarine Violet, Alizarin Crimson, or Brown Madder.

Anemone - The main color here was mainly Ultramarine Violet, again mixed with something to modify the color slightly. I can't remember what it was. Possibly French Ultramarine? Or maybe the tiniest bit of Brown Madder?

(All Winsor & Newton Professional Line color references.)

Sea anemones sound hard, but up for the challenge!

okay thanks! Those are colors I haven't used yet so it's nice to see what they look like.

Just edited my original comment because I made a mistake on the Anemone. The main purple for that one was Ultramarine Violet.
