Tulips, Landscape
With Pine Orchard Studio
Earlier this year (April and June) I took two shorter workshops with local artist, Doreen Halsall, of Pine Orchard Studio. Her paintings and other artistic creations are beautiful, but probably a little different than where I think I’ll end up whenever I land in my own style.
I still think it’s useful to learn from different artists with different styles in order to explore what other kinds of techniques are out there.
The first of the two workshops we did was tulips. It was a short class (3 hrs total, which included beginner-friendly how-to foundation info) so we only had enough time for one subject.
The second class featured a landscape. Also a shorter class, so we had just enough time to do some instruction, practice clouds, and then the final piece.
I wasn’t overly happy with my end results, but I’d say all in all good lessons were learned!
